Speaker – Andrew Phillips


Andrew Phillips is a Senior Account Executive at LinkedIn and a specialist in economic development, international trade, and tourism.

He has been a published writer and featured speaker on the topics of place branding, economic development marketing, and tourism promotion by the International Economic Development Council, the eTourism Summit, the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, Development Counselors International, Livability Magazine, Atlas and Conway.

A native of the Washington DC metro area, he returned to DC in 2015 to establish LinkedIn’s first office in the District. Prior to arriving in Washington, he worked for two successfully acquired startups (Wildfire, acquired by Google in 2012; Bizo, acquired by LinkedIn in 2014).

Andrew holds a BA in Classics from Stanford University and a Master’s degree from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.

He and his wife Marlow live in Lakeville, Minnesota with their two daughters and their French Bulldog.
