Luke Bujarski is the founding director and head of Skift Research, an independent unit of focused on quantifying industry and consumer trendlines in travel. In previous roles, Luke led a successful pan-European team of analysts for Phocuswright, culminating into the company’s first European conference. Luke has presented his travel research at numerous global summits and conferences. He holds a double BA in Spanish linguistics and international affairs from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master’s in urban planning with a concentration in applied research methods and regional economics, also from the University of Illinois C-U. He speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese, and Polish. Originally from Chicago, Luke has lived and worked all over including London, Barcelona, Colombia, Brazil and now New York City. He is a big fan of yoga and is currently working toward his 200-hour teacher’s certification. His favorite travel experiences to date have been in Nicaragua and Bordeaux, France.

In this session we will discuss China’s growing outbound and online travel market, to better prepare Florida’s tourism stakeholders as they compete for the Chinese travel consumer. We will look at market size and growth forecasts, origin market preferences, explore trends in technology and shopping preferences for China’s traveler base, the various channels that Florida’s travel and tourism organizations should focus on in their marketing efforts, as well as the various partnerships and investments that China’s travel industry has already made here in the United States.
