Senior Public Relations Manager, LEGOLAND Florida
A 16-year veteran of the attractions industry, David Brady is responsible for consumer and trade publicity at LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven, Fla., part of the UK-based Merlin Entertainments Group. Brady joined the multi-day vacation destination in 2015 and currently leads a three-person team in developing integrated communication plans, PR stunts and crisis communications, and assists with the creation of social media content.
A native of Southern California, Brady began his career as a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times and later worked for the Orlando Sentinel, the Los Angeles Daily News and the Los Angeles
Newspaper Group. In 2001, Brady joined Walt Disney World Resort as public relations manager, where he oversaw a network of PR websites including the resort’s flagship media site, wdwnews.com. He also produced and hosted the first podcast for Walt Disney World Resort and the first audio podcast for Disney Cruise Line.
During more than 14 years with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Brady also served on the grand opening task force for Hong Kong Disneyland, led social media efforts surrounding the launch of the Disney Dream cruise ship, facilitated media coverage of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and served as senior staff writer for Eyes & Ears, a bi-weekly magazine for Walt Disney World Resort employees.
Brady attended California State University, Northridge in Los Angeles, where he graduated with a double major in journalism and filmmaking.
