How Experience Kissimmee Accelerated Osceola County’s Pandemic Recovery
Tourism is the largest sector of Osceola County’s economy, with an estimated impact of $5.3 billion in 2017. Just before the pandemic, Experience Kissimmee was responsible for approximately 5.5% of the local visitor economy, representing more than $300 million in impact. But with travel halting in March 2020, the county saw the visitor economy shrink by nearly 25%. With support from the Board of County Commissioners and County Administration, Experience Kissimmee led a triumphant and unbelievable resurgence, staking a nearly 13% share of the visitor economy.
